Minneola
Same fruit type
Blooms in the same window. Zone fit is unknown or not a major tie-breaker here.
Why choose this?
Minneola is lightly sweet with a definite tart edge, with soft, juicy flesh and large fruit. In this group, this brings more acidity and bite than most of the others shown. Choose it for fresh eating, juice, and a distinctive, boldly flavored tangelo, but skip it if you want mild sweet flavor, seedless fruit, or growers in cool coastal areas where Minneola ripens poorly. It usually ripens around mid season, in the middle of this group.
