Terms of Service

These terms are between you and Whitney Stokes, doing business as Willowbottom, based in Ohio, USA. When we say 'Garden', 'we', 'us', or 'our', we mean Willowbottom. When we say 'you', we mean you, the person using the app.

Garden by Willowbottom is an organic gardening companion app. It provides gardening guidance, planting tools, a garden journal, weather-aware recommendations, and an AI-powered garden advisor. Garden is a tool to support your gardening - it is not a substitute for professional agricultural or horticultural advice.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use Garden. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, though we will always try to resolve issues by email first.

Your journal entries, photos, planting logs, and other content you create in Garden belong to you. We do not claim ownership of your content. We store it on your behalf and use it only to provide the app's features to you.

By uploading photos to Garden, you grant us a limited license to store and display those photos within the app for your use. We do not use your photos for any other purpose.

Garden provides gardening guidance based on general organic gardening principles and your location data. This guidance is informational and is not guaranteed to be accurate for your specific conditions. Every garden is different. We are not responsible for crop failures, plant losses, or other outcomes resulting from following Garden's recommendations.

The Ask Garden feature and generated plant profiles use AI to provide responses. While we have designed these features carefully, AI-generated content may contain errors. Always apply your own judgment and consult additional sources for important growing decisions, especially for medicinal plants.

Garden offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe and Systeme.io. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.

The 7-day free trial requires no credit card. After the trial period, continued access to Pro features requires a paid subscription.

We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, but if you have a specific situation please email us and we will do our best to help.

You agree not to use Garden to:

• –Violate any laws or regulations
• –Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• –Interfere with the app's operation or other users' experience
• –Scrape or harvest data from Garden without permission
• –Use the app in any way that could harm Willowbottom or other users

Garden is a gardening app. We trust you to use it as such.

We work hard to keep Garden available and reliable. However we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may occasionally need to perform maintenance, update features, or address technical issues. We will try to give advance notice of planned downtime when possible.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice to users.

To the extent permitted by Ohio law, Willowbottom is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Garden. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

We are a small independent operation. We have built Garden with care and good faith. We ask that you approach any disputes the same way - by emailing us first.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in Ohio courts.

We may update these terms occasionally. If we make significant changes we will notify users by email. Continued use of Garden after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
