Fukushu
Same fruit type
Blooms in the same window. Zone fit is unknown or not a major tie-breaker here.
Why choose this?
Fukushu is sweet with just enough acidity to stay lively, with medium-firm flesh and large fruit. In this group, it is one of the firmest choices, so it handles baking, slicing, or holding its shape better. Choose it for fresh eating, ornamental container growing, and all-purpose kumquat harvests, but skip it if you want the very sweetest meiwa-style experience or a very compact plant. It usually ripens around mid season, in the middle of this group.
