Crimson Star
Same fruit type
Blooms in the same window. Zone fit is unknown or not a major tie-breaker here.
Why choose this?
Crimson Star is sweet with just enough acidity to stay lively, with firm, dense flesh and large fruit. In this group, this brings more acidity and bite than most of the others shown. Choose it for fresh eating, mixed edible borders, and a goji with consistently large, visually striking fruit, but skip it if you want very cold winters below zone 4 - Crimson Star is best in zones 4 to 9; Phoenix Tears is the zone 3 choice. It usually ripens around August, in the middle of this group.
