El Bumpo
Same fruit type
Blooms in the same window. Zone fit is unknown or not a major tie-breaker here.
Why choose this?
El Bumpo is very sweet with low acidity and real depth, with medium-firm flesh and large fruit. In this group, it gives some of the largest fruit and feels more substantial than most of the others shown. Choose it for fresh eating and a large, sweet California-grown cherimoya, but skip it if you want humid climates or regions outside of coastal California where cherimoya grows poorly. It usually ripens around mid season, earlier than most of the others shown.
